Safeguarding children is everyone’s responsibility
Our school community has a duty to safeguard and promote the welfare of all children in our care. This means that we have a Safeguarding Policy and procedures in place. All staff (including our volunteers and supply staff) are aware of our procedures. Parents and carers are welcome to read these on request.
In cases where the school has reason to be concerned that a child may be subject to ill-treatment, neglect or other forms of abuse, staff follow the local authority Safeguarding Procedures, and inform the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub of their concerns.
We will always ensure that our concerns about our pupils are discussed with their parents/carers first, unless we have reason to believe that this is not in the child’s best interests.
Our Designated Safeguarding Officer is Mrs Alphey. Our Deputy Designated Officer is Mrs Kersey. Our Safeguarding Governor is Ms Forsyth.
